Baby Carrier Review

The comfort baby carrier’s paediatrician approved design features adjustable waist and padded shoulder straps that help to spread the weight of the carrier over a greater area of your body, thus reducing pressure points and increasing comfort and durability. The adjustable waist belt serves to improve the parents manoeuvrability through pivoting more of the baby’s weight on the hips thus allowing more natural movement whilst still retaining the child.

If you or your partner has back problems, then the Active version of the carrier may be a consideration. This comes with a built in lumber support panel specifically designed to reduce stresses and provide maximum support to your lower back. This unit is also suitable for persons without back problems so the baby carrier can be used by a non-suffering partner as well.

Flexible Carrying Positions

The comfort carrier can be adjusted to suit the baby’s size making it suitable for comfortably carrying larger and older children, even over prolonged periods of time. BABYBJÖRN baby carriers also let you carry your child facing either forwards or looking towards you. The carrier now features two different leg positions, with a new wide leg position that allows children up to 31 pounds in weight to be carried facing the parent. An integrated head support can be used for babies facing towards you. The head support is not required when the baby is facing outwards and should be folded away.

Environmentally Friendly Construction

The fabric element of the free baby bjorn comfort carrier is made from one hundred percent organically grown cotton complying with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) organic standards. All materials used in Babybjorn carriers that can become in contact with a baby’s skin contain no hazardous substances. To back this up the materials carry a worldwide recognised international safety standard for textiles (the Öeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1). Using a Baby bjorn baby carrier during the teething phase means you don’t have to worry about your child chewing or sucking the fabric.

Designed to last

The comfort carrier can be used from newborn (as long as the baby is at least 8 lbs in weight and over 21″ in height) all the way up to 22 lbs in weight. Your carrier can also be machine washed at 40 degrees.

Baby bjorn carrier covers

These carrier covers are really useful if you use your baby carrier outside in poorer weather conditions and are readily available with different pattern designs should you ever want to change to look for your carrier. They are made from a dense felt-like fleece that is very warm and windproof (please note that whilst they are eater resistant they are not water proof). The carrier cover is also very easily removable.
