Can I get a Child Car Seat that buckles more quickly?

It takes two hands to put my kid in his seat. I try to move the belts out of the way, then put my kid on the seat, but the belts just fall back. He’s then sitting on them, so I need to pull them out from behind and under him. I’m doing this while I lean over, straining my lower back. My wife complains that buckling takes too long, and is worried about carjacking. My son just converted to a forward facing seat. Any ideas on a car seat that’s faster, or a better way?
I have a Britax Boulevard CS–it’s forward facing. I’ll see if I have velcro to hold them to the sides.

Well, the Britax straps have velcro on them. That way the straps stay to the side of the seat (where the other part of the velcro is) while you put the baby in, then you pull them off and buckle. That would help with the problem of them falling back on the seat and having to dig them out from under your son.

Britax is also the highest rated seat safety-wise, but with that comes a big price tag– they’re one of the priciest. We have 2– a Roundabout for my husband’s car (it’s their “compact version”) and a Marathon for my car.
